Elul 1: Ayekah?

All year we have been shouting

Ayekah? Where are You?

Without realizing that you are always everywhere

Waiting for us

It is you who are awaiting an answer

Where are we?

Where am I?
I am searching

I long

To be with you

In Your House

Where You are

B’veit Adonai

But how to get there?

How to be in Union with You?

Ah, I see, I must first find myself.

Ayekah

I was standing in Bavel, or rather m’vubal

I was confused

I thought I could see but I forgot to check my perspective

first

And so I was looking for You

Instead of finding my own way

Back

I have been low

Abed

I have been paralysed and I have let myself

Be

But I see now

I need to move

I need to turn and return

And start again

Even if it’s one step at a time

Even if the road is long and I am already

Tired

I need to follow the whisper on the wind

The Still Small Voice

Ayekah?

I am here.

Help me begin to move toward you.

Again.
